I'm also interested to see if anyone has installed the switches and brake controller on any 05 model. If so please post your results and and needed parts you had to buy.
My truck did not come with the switches. I ordered the switches and wiring harness. switch part#5c3z*13d730*aaa list price is $39.45and harness part# is5c3z*14a303*aa list price 18.03. To install swiches was mearly poping out spacer box and snapping in switches. The harness starts with relay and fuse behind glove box and taking two screws to hold in factory place. Then you run harness threw dash and plug in switches and ground wire. Then you need to open your fuse panel under steering wheel and remove four retaining bolts for fuses and pull out towards you so you can plug in harness. You can now access your pre wires through dash white, red, blueand black (fuse box to under hood near firewall)The switches now have useable power with ignition on. If your truck does not come with the brake controller I think your out of luck.

I got my switches about 2 weeks ago. Bad news is that I needed more parts to make it work. I took the switches apart and made my own wiring harness that works great.
I will post the pin codes if anyone wants.
This was just a teriffic place to find my answer. I spent three months with the parts manager just to get the switches because no one new the part #. Now I found out I do not have the wiring harness and he can not find that, but thanks for the help here that listed the part #'s, I now have it on emergency order.

sorry if i missed it, but does this switch panel set up fit 99-04 SD's,
thanks
kengarchow,
To the best of my knowledge the upfitter switches only fit the 2005 models not previous years. See my post above on 9-15-04 with a link to additional information on these switches.
NO, I SPOKE WITH THE GUYS THAT INSTALL FORD ACCESSORIES AND IT HAS TO COME PREWIRED FROM THE FACTORY. YOU CAN NOT ADD THIS YOURSELF. IT HAS ITS OWN RELAYS AND IT IS ACTUALLY A LOW VOLTAGE SWITCH SO YOU CAN RUN ANYTHING THAT WILL TAKE 12 VOLTS.
