I've never heard of a hydro overheating before . . . especially when you're runnning an independant pump and a cooler. That's odd.

I really don't know if it is overheating. I'm using synthetic fluid, which should deal with heat better, but the pump is right behind the fan shroud, so I doubt the cooler is doing much good because all of that hot air off of the radiator is keeping the pump and integral tank hot. I used to work at a place where we ran plastic injection molding machines that had similar hydo motors on them, and periodically one of them would need replaced, so maybe this motor is hurting. or maybe I need a remote tank and a larger cooler.

Im thinking its the motor is hurting. Ive never heard of a hydro MM overheating and ive got a lot of freinds that are in the cavalry in the army. I kno the army went with hydros for that reason.
