Anyone got a spare dome light plastic that is in good shape you don't need? I went to replace the bulb in mine over the weekend and the center of the plastic crumbled right out. Must have been the original since 79 and it just had too much heat and got brittle.
I checked LMC and while they are reasonable at $4.95, the $6.95 shipping charge makes this plastic about $12! I'd rather trade a local Iowan some truck parts for one if I could.
Hey, did we get the ok to start our own little buy, sell, trade between us here on the forums? I got a bunch of parts I could list. Just want the OK before I do.
I'll take a look out here and see if one is around, no charge, not worth it!! As far as the buy sell trade, what I would like to do is just startt the thread, and everyone just post under that thread so as not to fillup the space on the page, just recycle the same thread. I know many other chapter leaders say that's why we have the classifieds, but I think it is better to be able to post to your locals for better response, and little items are hardly worth classifieds in my mind, not to mention how often do you really look in the classifieds...
Hey if you got two I could use one too, same problem but mine completly went.
I agree I think a thread here would be better for me as for searching for parts. Shipping can be crazy and I hate looking at an ad and find the part I want only to have it out in Cali or somewhere else it'd take a few day drive to get it. Better sticky it though or post will still end up everywhere.
the kicker of it is, I have to request it done, i have no true moderation powers, I have to go to a moderator for all of that stuff, but have yet to have any trouble getting what I ask for.
Got bad news for ya, the one I had was just as bad as yours, so I can't help you right now. I have a 77 still in South Dakota that might have one, but I can't make any promises.
