Anyone work in a haunted building? Just heard its haunted, or experianced it?
My place of employment is well haunted. Many people have experianced several of the same events. The building does have a little history. Its a relatively small, but secure building. Only three people work here at night. Often, only one person here at a time. Its nearly impossible to enter the building without alerting at least one of the three people.
Several people have seen a man walking past our office window, an inside window. Sometimes hes been seen just down the hall. All of these you need to pass in order to get to the restroom. Light bulbs have blown just from walking past the lamp. Spooky sometimes. No one, I mean no one will walk down the hall in the dark.
One person quit because of the feelings she had when working alone.
So anyway.....a few months ago, a couple people whipped out Ouiji board. Nothin happened. Also, nothing happened, nothing seen for several weeks.
Tonight, I took a little break outside, its nice out. I took a little nap......I woke up to a little girls voice saying get up. No one was outside with me. So back inside I went. Tried it again an hour later. Very loud, like in my ear, I hear TURN AROUND, think nothing of it really, might have been nodding off, then again, TURN AROUND, same little girls voice. There sure are no little girls working here tonight. Screw this.....I go inside.
So now I have started a new pot of coffee.....3 hours 36 minutes till anyone else comes in. I hate having my back to that little window into the hallway.
I cant wait to hash this over in the morning.
No, really, I'm not a freak....just a little freaked out.
Why the old timers......they always standin behind ya watchin? Thats exactly how I feel sometimes in the freak show place.
You could always taunt them. Didnt turn out to well here. We are on number two fridge in a month. Coincidence? Dont know.....but that sure smells bad in the fridge.
No one, I mean no one will walk down the hall in the dark.
I will.
No seriously, just wanted to say hi. I'm not normally up this hour but my sholder hurts so bad. I guess I'll go make my materials list for the shed I'll build tomorrow.
The building my grandfather used to live in was a cigar factory where the dillanger gang got into a gun battle with local cops and 3 of the gang died and 4 cops. The battle still rages Then in the ealrly 50's my great gradmother shot herself in the head in that building. She still walks the halls.. Then in the mid 70's my great grandfather shot himself in the head there... He still walks the halls...
I have heard and seen all of them while staying there. It never bothered my grandfather, he accually enjoyed the company He was a strange one I guess the apple dont fall far from the tree
If I were you I`d start going to hurch readin my bible and prayin Before ya go to work
Realy I`m not joking you can tell them to leave you alone or just plain leave in the name of Jeasus and they will (and I don`t mean "jeasuse christ you scard me would you leave me alone")
down here at ohio u. theres all sorts of stories abt the campus being haunted. our schools been on numerous shows on the discovery/history channel about haunted buildings.
You don't have to use religion to get them to leave. Just be firm and assertive and they'll get the hint. Or you can keep them around and make peace with them.
Where are you in SC Texas? You know, San Antonio has lots of documented ghosts, so there's something about the area. We think we may have one on our property here in the Hill Country, but never have seen anything, but a woman has clearly spoken my name a couple of times outdoors. Its so close and clear it'll raise the hair on the back of your neck. Its like she is right behind me! My girlfriend says she has always felt the presence of one in the house for the year we've lived here.
Oooooh! Ghost stories! OK, I've got one. A few years ago, my wife and I rented an apartment in Dallas on the third floor of what used to be a retirement community. The place was setup like a hotel with a coutyard with trees, a pool, and a rec. center. it even had a front desk and lobby. Kinda cool. There were still a lot of old folks there so we thought it would be a quiet place to live. Something wasn't quite right with the place. We came home one day to the Coronner and the Dallas Police asking us why we hadn't notice the stench of our decomposing 94 year old neighbor's body. I donno. Didn't notice it. Strange stuff happened only at night at first. We would hear the doors to the cabinets slam in the kitchen, the door to the bathroom close even though it was hard to close and didn't move on its own and also the toilet seat banging on the toilet. (And no, it wasn't noise from another apartment.) One afternoon, my wife and I were sitting at the computer (looking for another damned apartment!) when we heard the floorboards creak behind us. We looked back and just happened to look at the TV which was turned off. We both saw the reflection in the screen of a human form in a white nightgown moving towards the bedroom! Woa! Did you see that? Yeeees! Weird! And I don't drink or ever done any drugs! (My wife drinks sometimes but being married to me, that's completey understandable.) This went on for a while along with a strange smell of stale cigarette smoke and old cooking grease at 12:30PM every night. (That may have had nothing to do with ghosts, who knows.) Then things started to get strange. One night, around 3 am, we heard a loud bang and crash in the living room. I thought someone had broken in. I got my customer service representative (Colt M1991A1 .45 auto) and went to the living room expecting to find burglars. I didn't find any jimmied doors or broken windows but I found my computer monitor 3 feet from the desk on the floor. How could it have fallen off the middle of the desk? We started to get a little edgy at that point. A few nights later, around 2 am, we were sleeping (my wife in my arms) with the covers squarely on the bed, tucked in around my wife on her side and just over the bed on my side. Something woke me up. I felt the cover being dragged off of us as if someone standing at the foot of the bed on my side was doing it. I thought someone had again broken in and was dragging the covers off of us to shoot us. (I would.) So quietly, I reached for the .45 under my wifes pillow, clicked the safety off and swung in the direction of my side's foot of the bed. NO ONE THERE! The cover was almost all the way on the floor! I almost shot a round too. I'm glad I didn't because I had a magazine full of 230 grain FMJ's which may have gone through the sheetrock and killed a neighbor. There's no way that cover would have slid off the bed. It's never happened before. Ever. Huh, we moved. that was enough of that. We could have called Ghostbusters but they are all the way in New York and that would have cost.
