n578md.................thats freaky man. Beats all the stories in the houses I've lived.
While living on Ft Sam Houston.........the old BAMC hospital was abandoned.....at night you could see figues moving around in the windows. That place is freaked out. I knew guys ho ran CP in the building. Just two guys at a time.....one guy never, ever went farther than few feet from his desk. While other guys would walk ever hall, ever floor, enjoying the fear as they walked, yea, they were scared bad, but liked it.
NO WAY!
A few of us talked about my experiance last night. Appearantly, on the other side of the building....guys were hangin out, guy on the couch hears the girl say 'he scares me'. Then, as often happpens, he and his partner heard someone in the doorway clear his throat. Lots of different people shared their stories, many with alot in common.
The Emily Morgan Hotel, a nice gothic building has got to be haunted. Just look at it.
Also The Menger Hotel is supossed to be real haunted also. They even tell you about it on their website. Click on the hotel names(links). Never been inside either.
I know theres a big old apartment building off San Pedro Ave that ghave me the ****** about 4 in the morning. cant remember the nam eof that building...but it has an old chapel that no one goes into. I kinda did a little self guided tour after a call there one night. My partner was very unhappy with me.
All the old missions spread over San Antonio.....never been, but heard spooky. Then the Alamo..........AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the rush is cool......its a 12 hour shift in the middle of the night that wears me down, with my back to the window.
Aaaaccckkk!! I shoulda stopped reading after Peppy's first post! Now, I know it sounds weird, but I've always been able to 'feel' a place that has heavy 'vibes' (I sound like a dang hippy!) Kind of a feeling in the middle of my body that says, "OK this place is cool," or, "OK, we need to check our underwear." I've stayed in the Emily Morgan Hotel before, and there is definately something creepy going on in that place. The room we stayed in was fine, had a good feeling about it, but the lobby, elevators, hallways, and the library made the hair stand on my neck. Just a heavy, dark, feeling.
My grandmothers house is freakin' spooky!! I still refuse to go into the garage after sundown, it scares the crap out of me. I really think there is something evil in that house. I was alone watching TV in the den (which just so happens to be connected to the garage!) and everyone else was in the kitchen. I heard a low, deep growl come from behind my left shoulder and I swear I could feel hot breath across my neck. I was off of that couch and stammering like the village idiot in record time. My uncle later told me he had the same thing happen to him as well. There is a 1/2 bath attached to the den, and about two years ago during a new years party, my g/f was using the bathroom, and she said the lock on the bathroom door was spinning. She thought it was me until she saw that I was in the kitchen. She does NOT want to go back to my G-ma's house!!
There is a bar here that's in an old house. There is reportedly a ghost, and enough people have seen/heard her that the ghostchasers come in from all over to check it out. My wife thinks it's cool, except a couple weeks ago we were there on her birthday and she was trying to take pictures. She'd just charged four sets of batteries (digital cameras-you always need backups) but every time she turned hte camera on the batteries went dead in seconds. The bartender said it was probably because of the ghost, bateries wouldn't work in there. And she was calm about it, said it happened all the time. But eight fresh bateries? They all work fine now after another charge.
This will sound stupid, but I can "feel" a place if there are spirits. The heaviest place that I have been to so far is Tombstone and Pearl Harbor, Arizona Memorial. That place is just plan spooky. Got onto it and wanted to get off QUICK.
We moved into the apartment in middle of March and moved out in December the same year. We had a one year lease but we just paid it every month until the end of the lease as if we were still living there. If I recall, the computer monitor and bed spread incidents happened in November.
Used to manage a dance club in town. Years ago it was a canoe factory, famouse where im from. Building was built in 1924. Anyways, people said it was haunted, but never believed them until one night at around 4 am checking the numbers for the night, and figuring the liquor order for the next day in the basement. Basement was made of brick, real dark. No one was there with me, janitor wasnt in till morning. But as I was walking to the keg room to check on the draft, heard footsteps, and could have sworn I saw someone walk across the room on the other side of the dance floor. Could have just been that I was tired or that I had a few nips of Crown during the shift, but others said they felt a presence in the building as well.
Got kinda weird feeling again last night. So this evening we all sat around and cracked jokes about the ghosts here. So if you never hear from me again....they went Poltergiest on us.
Already feel someone starring at me thru that damned window behind me. Maybe I'll have to start a blog or something.
In restrospect...maybe we shouldnt'a made fun of the ghosts.....maybe they dont have a sense of humor.
Maybe I'll just play the radio all night............
AAAHHHHH!!!!!!! I'm about done with this. Cant wait for someone else to work in here for a while. Heard a big conversation going on outside my door. I was thinking admin had come in super early. So I stepped out.....no doors open, no people. I walked down the hall a few more steps. Heard clearly.."hey boy". No one else is in the building but me.
Maybe we need to whip out the Ouiji board again.....they left for about three months last time.
Leave em a drink...when I die, I would like to be able to stick around, and nothing would get someone on my good side better then a glass of scotch left out for me. I'd probly hae a good sense of humor about it too, seeing as how people would be scared witless of lil' ole me...I'd ride it for all it was worth, all while drinking my scotch.
Ask them if they know Walter...apparently he haunts my fraternity house.
