Is it true that there are problems with some of the tuner products if the truck
that its being installed in has adjustable pedals in it. Just wondering because
ford tech had mentioned that he'd seen a couple instances where the truck
that was brought in couldn't start because there was a short in the pedal
assembly that affected the operation of the tuning product. If there is truth
to this please reply as to which products are affected.
Not that I know of... or have hear of... my X has the adjustable pedals...
sounds like another "tech" trying to sound like he knows more than he does to me
(no slap at the techs, this is a personality weakness more than anything else )
Doesn't seem like a short in the pedal would be created by the tuner !!!

The adjustable pedal circuit (nothing more than a set of rack and pinions with motors) is totally seperate from the PCM/TCM/FICM circuit, and is not interlinked within the wiring harness in any way; so this is impossible.
He may have been referring to the three-track electronic accelerator pedal (which IS calibrated via the PCM) but this would apply to all trucks; not just the ones with adjustable pedals.

My 04 drw 4x4 crew has the adjustable pedals and I have no problems so far using the predator. I also change the program almost every other time I use the truck.
