Ford sells the Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant. There is also Zerex G-05 which meets the Ford Spec as well. As long as your PSD is a 99.5 and up the Gold should be good. Not sure on the the pre 99.5 PSD's. They both run about $10-12 around here. Ford switched from Green to Gold Coolant sometime in 2003. My 00 has green and my wife's 03 has Gold.
The only thing to remember is to get all Green stuff out as the two aren't compatible and use distilled water to flush & fill.
Hope this helps,
D

Reason: Left something out
i have a pre 99 as well, had mechanic change the coolant over to the premium gold coolant early last year. I now have about 25,000 miles on the coolant and I can see no signs of distress on the cooling system.
Just make sure you completely flush out the old green coolant before you switch over to the gold.
