After vowing to never go back to the dealer around the corner from me (Greenway Ford), I was in a pinch and they were the only dealer in Orlando that had the bug shields in stock. Their part guy told me $84. I said that was insane and $20 more than the other dealers here were charging. Needless to say I walked out, vowing once again to never return! I ended up buying the "Lund" and am very pleased with it. It was a easy install as well.
You can check mine out on my gallery. I have AVS(AutoVentShade)I would think this is low profile(they may even make it for Ford)
from Pep Boys(believe it was less than $50). Pretty easy to install(just have to remove grill). IMO I haven't seen any that look better.I still get some bugs on the windshield, but I bought it for looks and hood protection. It's also good quality(had same brand on last 2 trucks w/o problems)and fits PERFECTLY. I also have weather flectors vent visors, excellent quality and fit. About $100 for crew set though. Only prob., they come straight down by mirror, and gets in your visual SLIGHTLY to the pass. mirror
ITDave, it does have a "Lund" chrome gel pad, about 2 inches wide. At first, I didn't think I wanted it on the smoke bugshield with my black truck. But it actually looks great and blends in with the chrome headlamp fixture.
