Quiet Free Flow Muffler???
I want to put a new free flow muffler on my truck...93 F150 w/302 4x4 long bed.
I really don't want a loud sound, just a free flow. It's a daily driver and I don't want to hear it inside the cab (outside I could care less).
I've heard Hooker Aero chamber is fairly quiet...anyone comment on that? Is there anything else that is quiet and free flowing? (want power and mileage if increase if any). How about Flowmaster Delta flow 50?
thanks.

dbuck, sorry I've been so long in replying. Both Summit and Jegs sells the Hooker for $59, I got mine from Summit. There is absolutely no drone at cruising speed. It almost sounds stock on the highway, and that's what I like about it. Or should I say that's what the wife likes about it, since she drives it the most.
I know from experience that the Hooker is quieter than a Moroso Spiral Flow, Imco single chamber (Flowmaster clone), and a FlowTech glasspack. This is to be expected.
There's a chart on the Hooker box that gives sound comparisons at 3000 rpm. The Aero Chamber is about 80 db, Dynomax Super Turbo is about 84 db, and the Flowmaster 2-chamber is about 88db (I assume the 2-chamber is the FM 40 non-delta flow). A Delta Flow should be quieter.
The torque, horsepower, and airflow comparison charts on the box shows the Aero Chamber as being better than all of the above (except 1 hp loss over an open pipe). It actually gives more torque than an open pipe. Granted, this info is all off of a Hooker box and is considered advertisement, so take it for what it's worth.........?
