MP3 editing programs

Anyone know if a program to edit MP3s. bassicly what I want to do is cut out part of a song to use as an MP3 ringtone on my Nokia 6620.

I cant find anything that does it.

I've never actually used it, but Nero 6 Ultra Edition has an audio editor.

Screenblast Sound Forge, came with my Sony Vaio, and works great for cutting, splicing, and other goodies.

Phones can play mp3s now? Cool. I thought they were limited to .midi and .wav One way you could do it (only way I know), is to use http://www.cdex.n3.net , which can convert an mp3 to a .wav file easily. From there, you can use the 'sound recorder' built right into windows, to manipulate the file as you see fit. Once thats done, go back into http://www.cdex.n3.net and convert from a .wav, back to mp3... and youre done. I use that Cdex program to rip all of my cds to mp3. It allows you to choose bit rates, whether standard or variable, plus it accesses the CDDB, so naming your tunes is a one click function.
