Spazzin' out wipers

well my brother just got a 99 F-150, and every now and then he'll be goin' down the road and his windshield wipers decide that they need to be on.......in like high gear which looks like they are ready to takeoff. anyone know what could be causing this to happen??

thanks

Jake

The most common problem would probably be a faulty multifunction (wiper/turn signal) switch. If you search in here you'll probably find some more posts on the same problem.

I had a recall on my 01 Supercrew. They changed to wiper motor cover because of the grease they used would cause a contact and posibly turn them on with out turning the switch.
