Maybe they were expecting all to go well & that we would never have reason for it to light up to get our attention

Like the engineers thought that way and proactively???

I would wish for a gae/guage light anyday in exchange for other issues (so far I haven't had any)...

They mis-spelled it plain and simple or it was an engineer from England or some place like that (exchange student workig for free for the summer)???

Gage and gauge are interchanged all the time in the aviation industry. In fact I prefer the the spelling of gage since it is one less letter that I have to write in the aircraft logbook.

Yeah but Ford doesn't produce Airplanes or Helicopters. Probably because they can't get towed back to the hangar. So fact is they spelled it like that for the French-Canadian buyers. Don't give them any more ideas about cost savings they might start skimping on other things like '06 tyres might be an option.

OK, but if you notice it would take more ink to print the 'y' in tyres than it would to use an 'i'.

They manufactered the single engine Stout-Ford transport, model 2AT and the three engine Tri-Motors, models 3ATand 4AT. What the difference is I couldn't tell you.
They also built the B-24 Liberator bombers and gliders for WWII.
