Mine wont start either........
Well I got this strage thing happening its hard to explain but bear with me. It started on Tuseday at school. I was going to leave and when I turned the key it just barly hesitated to start. Then Wed I'm leaving school and it took a while to start, maybe 5 sec or so with the key turned. Then Thursday I'm leaving and I turn the key and nothing happens at all, it dosnt even try to turn over. But I turned the key 2 more times and it did start, but it sounding like it was building power every timre I turned the key.And lastly Friday it took me a few min to get the thing to start. Now it used to only happen at school but now I can simulate the way it starts by leaving the van off and running my 1000 watt stario for about 10 min. And then tring to start it. But I have no clue and it just gets worse and worse every day. But I'm not all about taking it in to get looked at yet. So I ope this has happend to some else before. I was told a few differnt things from friends, one that I shook loose something in the gas tank. Two that one that sounds right, I shook loose an important ground somplace. Well please let me know if you have a clue.
93'Aerostar XLT. Cherrybomb glasspack, dual 3" tip, K&N drop in, Super white blikers, fog lights, and headlights, Street Glow kit under it, mutiple neons inside, 1st van in Alababma Custom truck club, oh yeah i run a 11.5 1/8 and mid 16's on my 1/4.
Later, I found out that the positive side of the batttery cable is loose at the terminal.I had it tighten and no more starting problem. Well usually people would think there is a poor ground to the chassis; however, there is also a possibility of a bad positive connection. Please check the connections to the battery terminals.Hope this help.
