hey ghog, thanks for the quick response. i was just about to buy the crane 272 for my own rebuild, but i think i'm going to have a closer look at comp's kit. I'm sure interested to hear how this works out for you.

I'm pretty excited myself.
I'll be sure and report back with a complete list and mods and results. I'm sure the EB 600 will take some tuning.
It won't take much to better the original engine, it may have had only 90,000 miles on it but the entire oil gallery was fouled with oil sludge, the TB and intake were oil coated and I was starting to lose oil pressure.
I haven't looked a the bottom end yet but will after the install is done. I'd like to find the source of the rattle it had.
I was doing some comparisions a wile ago, and the comp offered less limp... and I decided to go with the 260/272 one... we will see how that works. They realy advertize these cams in the summet catalog as 4X4 cams with great off idle responce.
