i'm looking for the pro's, con's and specific information on how the following things will affect a 300-6 in the torque and horsepower aspects...
bored .020-.030 over clean-up
mild port and polish on head
larger valve installation
holley 390 4bbl carb w/ offy intake to match
240-270 degree duration cam (this large degree range because i haven't yet decided how much extra duration i want to add to the stock 190-ish cam duration)
msd duraspark II ignition system
EFI manifolds with 2 1/4" - 2 1/2" exhaust with an uncertain muffler style....true dual all the way back...(any other suggestions would be considered)
Don't think there's much else you can do, except maybe go get headers instead of he EFI manifolds. EFI manifolds are good for a stock or nearly-stock carbed 300, but with the mods you are planning on that baby - you will be one of those persons that will actually see a benefit from headers on a 300.
You gonna get a cam that lives from 1800-3800? Or you tryin to move up the powerband a bit?
i don't know a lot about how different cam durations affect different aspects of engine performance, but i do want to keep a fairly substantial portion of my bottom end torque, but at the same time, i want to gain some top-end and take-off performance...
