Pro Comp Pro Runner

Hi, new here. Anyone heard of the Pro Runner coil over susp. system? I saw an advertorial in Guns and Ammo mag where they are using it to level an 04 and I would like to use this to level my 04. While inquiring about this, I was informed it wouldn't be available until around Oct--Dec timeframe. Thought I would check with y'all to see if the guy (cant' remember who I called) knows what he's talking about, since I know I don't. I have an 04 scab STX all black that I hope to style with some chrome once leveled. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

In all my research I haven't seen the one you are talking about. I went with the Daystar kit and love it. On hard bumps it's a little stiffer but pretty much the same ride as stock. I went with it because it is polyurathane (sp) like the original stuff instead of billet or other metal.

It must be since I am still new, but I don't understand what a leveling kit is. Is that for when you have a lift put on?

Thanks,

A leveling kit is just spacers used with the stock shocks/coils to achieve height. Some are plastic and others are metal.
Camburg Engineering is coming out with a C/O for our trucks next month. My truck should be going in for the prototype sometime in the next couple weeks. It will be a great option for those who want a little more performance then the spacer can give.

Thumbs up

Tim, I'm far from any kind of expert on this stuff, but I'm thinking this pro runner by pro comp will also eliminate the need for a spacer. I would love to hear your thoughts on the system once installed. Do you work for them? How did you get involved with getting a prototype? Also, any idea what this will cost if and when it's made available to the rest of us? Will you be putting 35inch tires on?

I don't work for Camburg. I am just friends with one of the owners and we help each other out on occation. I am an admin. on www.offroadrangers.com which is how we met.
The C/O kit should be somewhere in the 1100.00 range and should be made available simetime in the next month or so. I'll post when I know more.
It is a 2.5" custom valved raceshock made by one of the big 3 raceshock companies(I'm not sure if I can say which). The spring is a custom spring made for our trucks. With this type of C/O you can adjust the height but you can't go too high because of the a-arm ball joints. I will be running 295/70r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers which I have sitting in my garage right now. I'm still choosing wheels.
