Smile more lift

Just Wondering If Anybody Knows If This Will Work. I Am Looking At A 6" Suspension Lift For My 04 F150 Exta Cab I Have A Leveling Kit And 325 60 R18 Nittos I Was Wondering If Instead Of Using The 3 Inch Blocks That Come With The Lift, Install 4 " Blocks And Keep My Leveling Kit. So It Would Be Equivilant To 8" Of Lift. The LiFt I Am Looking At Is Pro Comp.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I currently have the opposite of what you have. (I have the 6" Pro Comp)

I'm looking at adding the 2" leveling kit, getting the MX-6 Coilovers and going with a larger block and/or add-a-leaf in the back. Might even have custom leaf springs made.

I've seen people do all of that PLUS add a 3" body lift.

UPDATE!!<update>

I just bought the ProComp Adjustable Coilovers and tried to install them AND the 2.5” Daystar Leveling Kit at the same time. Turns out that the spacer that is added to the stock coilovers wont work with the ProComp Coilovers. The diameters are way off. We were however able to still use the one spacer that goes ABOVE the coilover between the shock mount and frame. This gave an additional 1" of lift. I then adjusted the ProComp Coilovers to lift the front another 1.5"s therefore making a total of 2.5" inches extra lift just as if the whole Daystar kit was used. The other pieces of the Daystar kit are sitting in my garage. I would say that the front still has about half an inch more that I can screw the coilovers up. I like the idea of the 1” Daystar spacer because that’s 1” less preload on my coilovers to get it up to the same height had it not been there. The rear end also got 2” Skyjacker Add-a-leafs added to bring it up level with the front.

The truck goes in tomorrow for the 3” body lift and 39x13.5x17 Super Swamper IROKS.</update>

Hummmm I have the same 6" Pro Comp Suspension Lift kit installed with a 3" Body Lift but used the factory Coilovers and there was NO way the Daystar Leveling kit could stay.

After the lift was installed my front was 6" taller and the back only 3" taller (due to 3" block) therefore I HAD to buy a 1.5" Add-A-Leaf to level the truck. Currently I have Nitto 325/65R18 which gives me an overall total of about 10" lift from stock level.

I just bought some Pro Comp Xterrains 37/13.50R18 which should be on by Thursday so I will gain about 1" from those as well.

I think that is correct on my height but not sure!

How strange. I'm sure you could at least get the top spacer installed. (Daystar kit come in 2 pieces for each side). I was able to install the 1" top spacer just fine and the only reason I couldn't install the one that goes inside the coilover is because Pro Comps Coilovers are only about 4" in diameter so the Daystar wouldn't work.

I've seen trucks with the FULL Daystar 2.5" leveling installed with a Pro Comp Lift. Here's a link to one for example with 6" Pro Comp, 2" Daystars, 3" Body, 39x13.5 IROKS... http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/661709

By the way... You're truck ROCKS!!!!!!!!

You are correct!

After looking under mine today I can see the top portion of the Daystar lift still intact. Maybe that's why my truck was taller in the front.

I am still trying to figure out exactly what total lift I have. People keep asking me, I tell them between 10-11 inches.

Tomorrow I will have 37/13.50R18 Pro Comp XTerrains on it.

Here ya go. Just got the tires, side steps and body lift done yesterday. Sorry for the bad pics. The sun was at a very bad angle today. I'll try to get out and take some better pics soon. Here are a few. You can see all of them at: http://cyberseano.smugmug.com/gallery/454027

Is that all you noticed missing from the tailgate?

The handle and F150 logo are also gone. The handle is fliped to the inside.
The whole tailgate was shaved smooth.

Thanks! It's coming along

6" Pro Comp Lift
3" Body Lift
1" Daystar on top of Coil Overs
2"s turned down on Pro Comp Coilover Spanners. (I had them turned down 3"s and it was WAY too much lift. The front A-arms had ZERO down travel and the truck felt road like crap so I turned them down a little. I still might turn them down about another 1/2 inch.)

Total = 12"s

There's also 2" Sky Jacker Add-a-Leafs in the rear to level it out a bit.

I have an account with smugmug.com but you can upload your pics on any online album site that allows linking of your pic url. Then you click on the insert image button when you want to post here. Copy and paste the URL of the pic and hit "OK". Do this as many times as you want for more pics.

Thanks!

I would of thought the same thing but I'm 6"2" and if I just reach my hand around the top, I can easily grab the handle and open the tailgate. An inch higher and it would be a pain I'm sure.
