Help A4OD
Help, 91 extended cab f-350 7.5 liter. Pulling horse trailer and poof clouds of smoke. Stop on side of interstate and fluid gushing out of bellhousing. This is the second time this has happened. Trans rebuild after first time. I guess I'm looking at second rebuild. Anyone know of any problems with this trans? Everything else is great on truck.

Make sure that you have an external trans oil cooler. Also ensure that it isn't plugged or restricted. Another possibillity could be a cracked bellhousing missed during the first rebuild. How long have you been towing horse trailers with this truck?

Trany fluid is getting to hot and pushing out the front pump seal (is tranny overfilled???). Drunken neighbor recomends installing a good transmission cooler. The front pump seal might be damaged or it could be a warn pump bushing.
P.S. The neighbor does this for a living, and I am just typing what he says.
