I'm hearing a mild clunking noise when doing real tight turns in parking lots. thinking maybe its a ball joint. but it seems like it does in more when the hubs are locked.
Probably not.
Have you checked the ball joints? When you have the tcase engaged and the hubs locked it puts more than usual stress on the ball joints when turning, causing them to sound off more.
ok, how do i check them? With my other cars, you just get the wheel off the ground and then push/pull on the top and bottom of the tire and see if there is any play. I haven't gotten a haynes manual for this truck yet.

Same principle. Just make sure you have the front diff secured. You could need some help here and a prybar. Let them move the wheel up and down with the bar while you check the ball joints from underneath.
With that sort of noise it would be evident. Also check the shocks and shock brackets while you're under there as well as the ujoints - just in case.
