c6 slipping from 2nd to 3rd

i put a b&m shift kit in it when i rebuilt my motor 1st-2nd shifts flawlessly and it kicks down perfectly but it slips pretty bad and if i dont lay off the pedal it will redline does it need to rebuilt? is it something like the modulator maybe? any help would be nice thanks-Josh

My tranny is doing the exact same thing but mine is a C4 ! I know this is a dumb question but have you checked the fluid level or has the fitler and fluid been changed lately! If you have done both of them than try adjusting the bands if that don't help than you will probably need a rebuild!

Sounds like valve body. I would go back through what you did when instaling the shift kit.

mark might be right. if you had to drop the valve body you may have something in wrong. check what ever components you had to mess with for the shift kit install. i have seen kick down cause this also due to low throttle valve pressure. i saw this condition in a c4 the c6 might act different.
