I use Mallory, Accel, and MSD. I have had great luck and problems with all of their stuff. They are not perfect and they all will make some bad stuff. If MSD were junk, you would not see so much of it at the race track. Msd makes good ignition systems. Most of the problems are due to operator error. There are some product defects, but no manufacturer is perfect.

Sadly, my Mallory Hyfire VIAL just took a dump, on the bright side it has a 1yr warranty, hopefully it will be back soon, as the truck definately doesnt run the same without it. I also use a Mallory Unilite dist. which is self contained and doesnt require a box to run, so I am able to drive while the box is in the shop. Overall, I prefer the Mallory stuff, especially the dist, since it can be run alone, and is very easy to adjust the curve, and amount of the advance inside the dist. As for the box, without it, I lose about 10mph in a standing start dash to a road sign we use as a test here. 75 Mph without the box, 85 with it, on a 429CJ.
