Rear Antilock??

Rear Antilock??
Just bought a 91 E150 Club Wagon Van has a 302/AOD. When running it displays the words 'REAR ANTILOCK' at the bottom center on the dash, Can anyone tell me what this is? Thanks, Jim

Jim, If it's lit up while driving it's telling you there's a problem with the rear abs system. The good news is that you can pull the codes yourself. Directions are in the Hayne's or Chilton manual. People have been known to cover the light with tape or decal.

Thanks for the reply Leo_T, just replaced the rear shoes and wheel cylinders and brakes work great. Didnt know the van came w/ABS in 91 think Ill just ignore it. Thanks again, frank_65

Thanks for the reply cheetoh, at first I thought it was just an indicator lite as a reminder that the vehicle had this feature. When they first appeared many owners didnt understand how they worked and thouhjt something was wrong when they hit the brakes. As long as it stops I aint gonna worry about it, frank_65.
