my rear antilock brake light came on today, didnt feel anything different. i decided to adjust the brakes, rear, and it will still do it, but not always, suggestions.
Your RABS valve may have issues. If you have a gravel road around you can test it by driving about 20 mph and then lock up the brakes. Rear antilock should activate. If not there is an issue with the RABS or the wiring/circuit. I had the same thing (intermittent light that eventually stayed on) and had to replace mine.
Unless the RABS module has failed internally (which mine did leading to a spongy pedal) the brakes will work normally. While the light is on pull the codes to see what is happening with the system otherwise you are doing nothing to find out the cause of the light. Is the module or sensor starting to fail? Is there a wiring problem?
