Tranny Temp Gauge E4OD
I tried this in transmissions, but got no response. Maybe here:
I put an Autometer tranny temp gauge in my F-250 E4OD trans. I put it in the test port. I have been hearing alot of debate about this.
When running on a hot day around town it will indicate around 180. If it is cooler, it will show around 160. If I am pulling on a hot day it will show 195-200. If I'm towing in cooler weather it will show 160-180.
Are these accurate temps for this tranny?

Sounds good to me. Anything over 200 is BAD! But you're towing in hot weather and it doesn't get above that so you're probably ok.
I take it you have an aux cooler other than the factory "in the radiator" inline??
