Heater core

I need info on changing a heater core in a 1997 F150 do I need to pull the dash or is there an easier way

I read the following reply (elsewhere on the web) to a similar question regarding the '97 heater core removal:

Sorry, there is NO fast way to replace the heater core. The steering wheel has to be lowered and the entire dash needs to be taken apart. About an 8 hour job. Recommend getting a Haynes or Chilton's book for the vehicle.

Like Wm said, there is no easy way.
If you snoop around in here you'll find some info from others that have done the job.

Well I replaced the heater core. It was a very Long Day but I am happy I did it. I went to a Ford Dealership and they were kind enough to print the dash removal instructions for me. It helped alot.
