With the edge your max (under rated) on setting 5 is 115/290 and you have low boost fuel adjustments, gauges, back down, defuel on shifts.
THe fuse will shut the speedo and i never said pull it and leave it out. Replace it with a switch. so when that rice burner starts to pull away at 96mph you flip your switch and away you go. The Predator does the same thing(kind of), once you hit the 96mph mark with the predator your speedo goes dead not like it can read more that 100 anyway. Either way you wont know how fast your going w/o a GPS or a 135mph or better car next to you!
well, I wil try the switch routine and see if it does work. I would be a cheaper way than buying the preditor just for the speed limiter cutout. Does it affect anything esle? As far as the horsepower gains, what is stock for a 04? I don't know but I do know that I had mine on the dyno and got 383 and 755ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheels. Thats a huge gain. Hey Fast... do you know anything about the water/meth injection? And also what does your egt's get on 5 . I have yet to install 4 inch exhaust and was wondering if it would bring it way down.

Not sure what it is to the wheels stock. 325/560(may not be exact) thats what ford claims but they usually test at the flywheel.
As far as what will be affected by the switch not sure besides a code. It will shut down ABS(also speed sensors) But at that speed ABS wont help much. It does work I know first hand. You will see a lag at about 80-85 and then it will seem like someone turned on the afterburners after you get past the lag. (These trucks will do well into the 120's and 130's depending on tires and such. Just use good judgement on the speed rating of your tires. High speed tests are done at your own risk!! )
Is anyone running the BD Power speed limiter? It supposedly moves it to 130. What are the top speeds in these Bohemoths? Will it really reach 120-130 with just the edge system? Seems hard to believe if it would, it is still pulling hard when it comes up against the limit anyway.
Not that I know of....
but many are running the diablo predator which removes the speed limiter and adds dyno proven 100 rwhp and 150 lbft at the rear wheels...
My top speed limiter is now ME ---- I've only had it up to about 2700 rpm in od and my "better judgement" stopped me - had LOT'S more in it...
some have calculated that 135+ is possible... we may find out next Spring when they have the Big Bend Open road race in southwest texas http://www.bborr.com/
some are thinking of getting speed rated load range E tires to go FAST !

According to them, it totally eliminates the limiter. They say 130 on the website just as a "demonstration" speed; it removes it totally. The trucks are capable of reaching speeds in excess of 145 with just a module. The truck will most certainly run out of gear before power.
Well I stacked today and my motor did not sound like a 3/4 ratchet, I really feel as if there were no gains. I understand what detonation is so there is no need to explain that.I am going to contact quadzilla and see what he thinks. Thanks to all that posted.
I may be wrong but common order of operations would say that you loaded the predator over your box. If this is the case you effectively added nothing; loading a program into a non-programmable unit (ie, the box) will only reflect the program back and do nothing; even if the upload carries out and completes. This is most likely why the timing did not change nor did you get any power; if you have just set your mind on doublestacking, unplug the module, load the predator, and then plug it back in.
I know that you are supposed to be able to do light towing with the predator on the high setting. The problem is that light towing is pretty generic. DO yo guys think that it would be a problem to pull a small 10 foot trailor with a golf cart on it. I tend to run about 75 to 80. I know the trailor and cart are not much because I can move it around by hand. I am kind of concerned about the parachute effect of the golf cart roof.
If you have a pickup the parachute effect MAY come into play...
but in an X it won't at all...
can you "Feel" a great difference in drag with the cart back there?
I can't imagine it weighing over 1000 lbs... does it ?
Here's what diablospaort.com has to say about the tunes:
* Stock Tune: with adjustable speed limiters. Speed limiter to approximately 120 MPH varies based on vehicle set-up weight, tire size, 2wd vs. 4wd, etc.
* 40 RWHP and 100-ft/lb TQ - Tow Tune, made specifically for towing. DiabloSport recommended weight limitations based on manufacturer suggested limits for the vehicle.
* 65 RWHP and 155-ft/lb TQ - Economy Performance Tune, designed for Economy and Performance, fuel economy depends solely on driving style, and will vary from vehicle to vehicle. DiabloSport recommended weight limitations of 8,000 Lbs.
* 100+ RWHP and 198-ft/lb TQ - Performance Tune, designed specifically for opening a can of whoop. DiabloSport recommends this tune not be used for towing.
DiabloSport strongly recommends the use of larger diameter performance exhaust components and exhaust temperature gauges with the use of any performance diesel tuning.

I'd suggest just using the 65hp setting - it's ALMOST as quick as the 100HP - gets 2 or more mpg better, smokes a lot less and is about as much fun....
I know that with the dge module you are not supposed to tow above level 2. The elevation in the egt's is what to watch for not mater what chip you are putting in.Thats the good thing about the edge is being able to set max egt levels and leting the computer back it down to keep you from frying the engine. I pull a 14 ft covered trailer for work and I always leave the edge on 2 and set the max egt @ 1200. This doesn't mean it goes to 1200 and hovers there , but it will keep it low enough to keep from a meltdown, especialy when towing a trailer and doing 85 like I do.
I just purchased a 2006 F-250 Superduty 6.0L. I am going to put a 4-6 inch lift on it with 34-35" tires. I am trying to figure out if I want to put an edge system or a banks power in it. I'm not going to be towing a lot. I'm looking for some more horse power without killing my fuel mileage. What do you guys suggest that I do?
Cowboy..I hear allot of people actually getting better fuel economy with Edge systems. My only concern is that chips/flash upgrade will give short term gain, but long term problems. I am skeptical about installing any ECU upgrade and my 6.0 not lasting for the long haul.
SCT--only way to go. Lots of good vendors/programmers out there with GREAT programs. The two you mentioned are GOOD, but SCT is GREAT---and for the money you save you can buy some additional mods.
