Ford tough rear shackles

Ford tough rear shackles
So I have a 4" lift kit installed on my truck about 3 months ago. I was on the road the other day and hit a good size pot hole causing the entire back of the truck to start bouncing violently. I wrote it off that it was maybe just the pot hole. Then a week later it happened again so I crawled underneath to torque up some of the suspension to discover that the drivers side rear shackle was totaly ripped apart and the leaf was slammed into the bed.
So I already grinded the rivets and have the old one off. I need to know if there is a better quality aftermarket I can purchase for a better price than a crappy original.
Or can I get some type of shackle flip that will give me 3" of lift in the rear so as I can just remove the blocks already there? I'm not thrilled with my blocks so this would be great.
thanks guys.

Hey 95soontobelifted.....phew....what a long name...lolol
I saw your pic and that is a very common problem here in Pa. We replace them all the time to get fords through state safety inspection. Just a hint to get some longevity out of them. The lower part of the shacles have a valley(for lack of a better term) in them. Drill a couple of small holes in them to let any collected water drain out. The water sits in there and starts the whole rusting process.
I am very fortunate as the previous owner of my 87 F-150 had the whole underside of the truck undercoated. I haven't had to replace my shackles/hangers yet..but I will when I lift it. Ok....That's all I have. I'm off to Paragon to wheel

excellent suggestion, I'm here in Jersey so I've got the same rain snow as you. I had thoguht about that valley but figured the engineers at ford would have already thought about that, guess not.
My dad has an 88 e-350 that he had undercoated new and has had no rot problems to date, I'm thinking about having mine done.

his 2wd has 2.5 inch springs the sky brackets and other 250 brackets are all for 3 inch. you could do what i did and grind my 2.5 inch brackets off and put f250 or sky brackets on with new springs and loose the block. seems like alot, but im very happy with the decision i made. hows it comin along by the way?
