Help I'm An Idiot

I found one of those to good to be true deals on a Bronco. I bought a 1995 bronco for a 1000 $ that was driven by a little old lady no lie, but there is one catch it has had a small fire under the hood and took out the wiring harness as well as the mass air unit. I was just going to throw a new 302 carburated crate motor in it because ford wanted to much for the parts to fix it and then along came Mr.Ebay who claimed he had all the parts to fix it off of a 92 and 94.

Boy was I in for a surprise none of the parts work for a 95. What are my options please help THANKYOU!

well, go to the junkie with a high definition digital camera and take some pictures of the under hood wireing. then print the pictures and go out to the truck and carefully see what you can make of it.
a 95 in good shape can sell for 7 to 8 thousand , you paid 1000 so even if you had to put 2000 into it you would be way ahead of the game.
i truly believe that you can fix it yourself if you have the time and ambition. and if you cant someone will buy that bronco from you for at least 1000 dollars.
do you know anyone with a 95 bronco or f 150 that would let you take a real good look at there wireing. cant you get the wireing harnesses from ford and install them yourself.

Thanks For Your Reply

I am wondering how hard it is to put a carburated motor in or pull all of the fuel injection off of this one and make it carburated. The 95 is a one year wonder from what I understand all of the electronics seem to be slightly different from a 94 as well as the ram air. I want the vehicle these things are nice!

I wouldnt bother with any of that. look into getting a mass air kit from a mustang. would be the easiest to work with. 94-95 should be the same harness its the 96 model year that went to OBD-II system and is more of a pain. get a haynes manual it will help some as well. is the entire harness gone or just the injector harness? could you post some pics of your engine bay on here ?

Underhood wiring harness is $400 from Ford. So check the price of the Mass Air Flow and I bet you could get it fixed for $700 total. Some 94 already were MAF and OBD II for California emissions.

THANK's GUYS

This is a mass air 95 and the 94 set up I have is the map sencor set up what ever that means this is what my mechanic said. All of the lights worked but the main motor harness melted bad along with the fuel injection harness cruise servo and ac line. Is the 94 harness modifiable to work ? How much do I have to change to make it work? The ram air plastic is all melted as well can I adapt a 94 map sencor style to this vehicle ? FORD WANTED 1200 $ just for the wiring to fix it.
