Well ok, here goes... I have a 1989 with the straight 6, EFI. My truck was running excellent as usual again, but the timing was off a little still when she was cold, so i adjusted it a little, then shut the hood. got back in and realized the truck was off. Tried to start it, and all i seen was a small puff of smoke. Well, upon inspection i noticed one of the fuselinks had burnt. can't tell what size, because its cooked . anyway, i start to trace down the wire, and it runs to the 'other side' of my radio fuze ? so i figure something is in series with it somewhere and / or maybe just a bad fuselink, so i jumper the wire, like any electritian would do and had someone turn the key. Same thing key buzzer works, but no radio, and no turning over. and the wire got hotter than hell.. so something must still be grounded out some where? This truck has a new distribuitor, starter... starter cylanoid (sp?) on the passenger side of the engine compartment is still older or origional, but i dunno, would the key buzzer still work if the entire relay was bad? I just dont really know, I can't seem to find a goooooooooooood schematic of the wiring diagram anywhere either. Someone please help me.. wahhhh lol my truck is 45 min from here in a parking lot.. if it hasn't been towed yet.
