In my 1970 F-100 that I am trying to get ready I am finding many problems with wiring/electrical stuff. My blinkers are not working, and the cuff that the blinker stick is attached to seems to spin freely all around my steering column, what should I do about that? Another problem is my dash illuminators are not working, what should I do about that?
You need to find the flasher unit and see if it has power. You may have two flasher units if you have a hazard lights function, so make sure you pick the right one.
finally got the blinkers working but the cuff where the blinker stick is attached spins freely around the rest of the column. what can i do to keep that from spinning out of control.
if i under stand right the by the cuff you mean
that the column and switch spin together
to fix this you will need to pull the steering wheel
then remove the turn signal switch
under this there will be 2 or 3 screws to hold the column
