Blinker works, brake light doesn't

Blinker works, brake light doesn't
I have a 69 F100, yesterady i was told that my driver side brake light was out. Wanting to check this I turned on the blinker and it worked. Next I wedged my ice scraper between the seat and pedal, no drivers side brake light. Since these two are both ran from the same wire, do you think my problem is in the blinker switch?

Your bulb is out.

Change the bulb.

The blinker and the brake each use the same filament in the same bulb, what would replacing it do, the blinker works?

Yes, I would suspect the turnsignal switch. Your logic is correct.
