Question Gauge Needles

what up i have a 2000 ford Ranger 2.5L I4, 2wd

i recently took out my dashboard cluster to install white gauge panels, and i took off the needles on the fuel ,oil, speedometer, temperature, and battery to put the white panels on ... on the needles, nothing broke off .. so i put them back on , everything was correct. and there were only 3 plugs in the back of the cluster and they all plugged back in right into their spots. now when i turn on the truck or am driving, all the needles dont read right. the fuel reads wrong, the oil is way over the high limit. the speedometer jumps around at wrong speeds, the temp is over high, and battery same.... i didnt mess with any other wires , only the 3 i unplugged and they fit back in fine... can anyone help and tell me what went wrong and what i might have to do to make them work correctly ! Thanks garrett

You might want to take the Panel back off. There is usually springs in the speedometer and the other gauges. Once you pull them off, the needles recoil. You might want to check them again
