Gauge Indicator Needles
I cleaned dust from instrument cluster faceplate & inadvertently moved the gauge indicator needles on my 96 F150-302. Got all put back together, started the engine & now needles are pegged to the left on oil pressure, water temp & alternator gauges. Gas gauge & speedometer work OK. Forgot to disconnect the neg battery cable. Will the gauges relearn settings after driving X miles?

Your 96 as far as I know has regular old-time gauges, nothing with a brain that controls them. I would suspect a connection is loose on the back of the cluster. Make sure the large connectors are in all the way and straight.
