efi exhaust question

i have a set of 93 efi exhaust manifolds .if i put a walker downpipe on the headers isnt that the same as running single exhaust ?.i understand that efi manifolds flow better but is 400.00 at the local muffler shop worth the cost of the walker pipe and installing the walker pipe .that doesnt include the 75 .00 30 inch glasspack.

I don't know if it's worth $400 but I have read alot of threads with people that were satifised with the gains they got from the walker downpipe.
