Walker Down Pipe On EFI Manifolds

The walker pipe for the 300 with EFI manifolds is 45166. Is this a non cat pipe? Do you know if they make one with a cat? If so what is the part number?

Anyone have a picture of one of these pipes?

Thanks

Let's see, the answers would be...

Yes... it is a "non cat" pipe - if you mean "is there a cat included" - mine joins the two manifols in something of a swept back "Y'' fashion and terminates at the front of my single cat (stock '82 Bronco location).

I'm not sure... but you can check at the Walkerexhaust website for product information and dealer locations.

Sorry - no pic's - I bought a digital cam - but returned it in favor of a better and cheaper 35mm. Imagine a swept back Y pipe that ends up just behind you're tranny x-member. My local (Goodyear)dealer brought one in for a "look-see" at no charge and I jumped on it.

I did look at their site, but it wasn't to helpful, IMHO. What would be some other options. I could by this pipe, and what kind of cat?

My trucks cats are gone. I am thinking about putting one back on, so the exhaust doesn't smell so bad. Plus eventually I'm sure they will start enforcing it around here.

I'm going to EFI manfilds, and probably and offy intake with a holley. I'm thinking about putting may a flowmaster or equivalent muffler on single in and duals out.

All suggestions are welcome.

Sorry, if you've already posted the year make & model - it wouldn't help much anyway, unless it's an '82 Bronco, which the Walker seems designed for. I looked a bit closer today and would only add that the "swept back Y" might be better described as a "swept DOWN and back Y" since the downpipe reaches it's low point IN FRONT OF THE STARTER & goes back from there. On my Bronco, it terminates into my hi flow Maremont cat (2 1/2" in/out) in the stock location ( just behind the tranny crossmember).

If I were going to engineer a pipe to connect EFI's to the stock exhaust system(with cat), I wouldn't change a thing - except maybe to reduce the outlet to the stock size (2" -?). The Walker has a 2 1/2"outlet - perfect for a 300-6 single outlet exhaust setup, which some people here have said is the optimum setup for MOST big sixes. All I can say is IT WORKS GREAT! (Fit, Function, Fun).

If you prefer duals - split it out of the cat/cats or elsewhere - I'm leavin' mine as is.

My truck in an 84 F150 4x4.

I plan on splitting to duals after the muffler. Single in dual out. looks that about all the companies that make exhaust systems have a 3" inlet on the muffler. I trying to locate something to get around this.

MRS - My Hooker is 2 1/2" - but single out.

Tectron - Nope. At least mine isn't. Standard exhaust pipe material.
