I own a 1993 Aerostar XLT AWD
Lately I have noticed the 'Rear ABS' lite has come on ... and stays on
Also the 'AirBag' lite begins flashing periodically [blinks 3x ... then 2x]
Wazzup with that ... Is it just a sensor? Faulty fuse?
Where do i find this sensor/fuse to rectify the problem?
Okay, for the ABS light, there is a sensor on the rear end, replace it, $21 at ford, the airbag light is the clockspring, that's a bit more tricky, and expensive, and if let go can cause the cruise and horn to fail to work. I would REPLACE the parts that need replaced and not just let it go.
Immediately after your van starts, turn the ignition counterclockwise a bit. Mine has enough play that it causes the dash lights to stay on and the only way to reset them is to turn the van off and then on.
This is one of the blessings of a high mileage vehicle.
