Would like a slight lift on my 90. Am installing 235's and thinking about installing Explorer front springs and 2" blocks on rear leafs. Any thoughts? What lift can I expect from the Explorer springs? Is there a particular year or model explorer that would provide the best spring/lift??

Reason: add a question
im currently running 265's and have a little bit of room to spare, and i dont rub which is a good thing lol, anyways how easy is this swap to do? im needing a lift and figure this would be a good way to go, and also if i were to do this, and i got a 3 inch suspension.. would that net me 5inches? thanks any help would be appreciated, and also could you do this with a f-150 or anything else? what would be more bolt on options?
what is the torsion bar? where is it located? i see a picture on there but it dosnt show where it is, im still illiterate on a lot of this stuff, thanks i wanna try the torsion bar lift, does this still apply on the BII? lol idk thanks
My sons 87 B2 had 235's on it when he got it and there was no clearance problems at all. Since putting the 6" lift on it we have put 33" x 12.50's on it and it looks great.
Well, I put on a set of 235/75R-15 Mud & Snows, and it is definately a new handling truck (err BII). Should have done this sooner! Sits about right, and so far no rubbing issues although haven't had the rig in the field yet. It's been a fun project so far, am building a hunting vehicle - looked at some ATV's awhile back, but too spendy and no payload to speak of. So, figured I'd build my own, picked up this BII a few months ago for almost nothing, basically mint, all options etc. so am building my own ATVBronco. I just repainted it a flat olive drab green, camo'd the bumpers etc. I really like the tight turning radius, will be great for pulling small food plot implements. I don't know why the BII isn't more popular, seems like a real good rig to me, I think it out handles a Jeep (I had a CJ5) except for durability I suppose.
well on the BII's you can swap in some heavier dutier stuff and probably beat the jeep all the way around, personal opinion, im sure jeep owners feel jeeps are stronger anyways, ive found that where i live there has been seemingly more people getting BII's since i got mine, a friend of mine just bought 2 of them, i went into autozone today found out another friend just bought one it's like they're popping up like wildfire around here, but everybody's getting theirs for really cheap, they dont look that good compared to mine, which dosnt look like much, but i paid 2800 for mine, and i still got a pretty good deal, ive had it a year and a half and had no problems at all cept blew something in the tranny in april but i got it all fixed so now it's worth 3400 to me lol, some may say i got chipped but im happy with 150 a month for both insurance and car payment with almost full coverage, anyways im gonna go play with electronics inside it
ya i just got a 87 bronco from my buddy last week for 2900 CDN and it is in pretty damn good condition. Ive been seeing them pop up alot here in my area to since I got mine. They are going for sale and being bought left right and center. its pretty crzy.
its almost like people are like hey, that looks nice lets get one, or something like that, it just kinda makes me mad that they're getting theirs for lots cheaper, but also i look at their interior and they're torn up and stuff, mine has nothing torn up it has a small stain that i accidently put there and havent had time to take it out, but its on the tranny hump way up under the dash and u can only see it if you're looking for it, but mine looks good to me, im fixing to put up pictures, but im also about to dye the tranny hump's carpet, right now i have an all grey interior, and ive already dyed the door's carpet and velvet stuff black so it matches the dash and everything and the grey velvet stuff under the back windows, i dyed that black also, and it's helped with looks quite a bit i think, it's just a little something that if you weren't looking for it you wouldnt see it, but it looks bland with out it, but on the tranny hump im going to do tribal flames, if anyone else has any ideas on this post them
Ya, most of the ones i am seeing are cheaper than what i paid for mine but mine has minimal rust and a great interior and the engine runs perfectly, well all the others on the road are rusted or have impact damage on the sides, stuff like that. my interior is like a maroon color and I was wondering how easy and cheap it is to get a whole bronco2 recarpeted black or a dark grey. But I also wanna know how to redo the seats to so they arent maroon. i was thinking just seat covers but i wanna make it look stock.
u might be able to go to a salvage and get seats for it that would be grey with the black stripes that fade to grey, thats what i have in mine, u can look in my gallery to see the grey, im thinking bout putting stang seats in
