OK, it turns out my engine will not go to fast idle when cold. It works for about 30 seconds and then drops to normal idle, which means it dies. I have to keep giving it a little gas until it warms up.
Since it is a fuel injected motor I do not see a place to adjust that.
Any ideas on how to get it running right?
Thanks!
Two screws hold it to the top of the intake manifold, it's round, about 5 inches long 2 screws attach it to the manifold & theres a 2 wire electrical conector at one end of it. 2 more screws to take it apart & clean it. This is a 2.9 i presume?
About 15 years ago I paid 30 bucks for the same CP-9015. It works fine. Go for it.
Nice to see that you have the shop manual on the way, how much was that on E-bay?. Another manual that is VERY handy for fixing electrical problems is the Ford "electrical & vacuum troubleshooting manual." It has the wiring diagrams that make fixing most electrical problems simple. I have one of these for my Ranger & Taurus.
