I have a 94 B3000 and when I turn on the AC, the compressor does not click on and the AC doesn't work.
When it used to work, the compressor used to click on and off every 5 seconds. It worked like that since I bought the truck 6 years ago. Was that normal?
Do you think that the problem is in the compressor or is it possible that the compressor is not turning on because there is a leak in the system?
Look under the hood for a sticker that indicates the type of A/C refrigerant used on your truck. Pretty sure '94 was the year Ford went to R-134a on everything, so you should already have that type of system. But check to be sure.
