I just did this recently on my truck. In the HELP section you may find two products that state they will fit Ford. The parts are different inside. If I remember correctly, one of them had more bolts or something like that. In general, you will need to grind off the safety studs in order to get the old ragjoint out (just so you know, in HELP they won't have the complete assy. you will just get the rubber part and some hardware). You will then need to select the correct bolt thingies to replace those studs.
The far superior fix, however, is to install u joints (knuckles) instead of a rag joint and I plant to upgrade to that setup when I replace the steering gear.
The rag joint is also a vibration isolator. If you don't have one road vibration from the frame is transmitted thru the steering wheel to your hands. You will probably not notice the vibration but your hands on the wheel will go numb on longer trips.
also, to make things a little bit easier (but more expensive), places like NPD and the sort sell a reproduction complete ragjoint assembly. the dealer does not, however.
haha, well my brother went to autozone and the ppl there decided that there is no such thing as a ragjoint haha
but thanks for the other info i will be sure to tell him about that!
