Steering shaft

Does anyone know of a good source for a replacement steering shaft, possibly even a u-joint style shaft to replace the canvas(sort of) flex joint? My '69 has had a few years of wear on the fabric or whatever was there(it's so greasy I ain't sure what it is) and it's disintegrated to the point of no direct attachment to the gearbox.

Thanks for any ideas you may come up with.

You can get a new rag joint (that flexible rubber coupling) at any auto parts store. You should even get enough change back from a $20 to eat lunch at Micky D's.
