Passenger window woes

I have a 1997 Aerostar. The passenger window will not work from either the drivers or passenger switch. For a short while, it would work if I opened the drivers door and wiggled the wiring boot in the drivers door. Even this does not work now. Anyone with any ideas.
PS - The drivers window works fine.

watch the interior lights(dome light) if it dims when you work the switch, replace the motor.

Sounds like the wiring is bad in the door jamb area from your description, especially if in Gary B's test the light doesn't dim.

Sometimes you may be able to take the door panel off (the passenger side) and tap on the motor with a hammer and it may work again. If this does happen then it is the window motor. (If it does work it is only temporary don't rely on it to keep working).

That makes it clear it's a bad wire between the driver door and the dash. Work the boot loose and inspect/repair the wires. Very common problem.
