I have an '04 PSD with a 02-28-2004 engine date and the trucks door sticker says 03-2004.
My question is do I need a re-flash? I get ~15mpg no matter how I drive and I typically drive like a grandma. I will ocassionally step on it to pass but that only occurs like once a day.
I have ~4k miles on it and drive it every day to work (32miles one way) going ~65mph. I have driven steep grades on the weekends and have never towed. I used to get ~16mpg and then once the 6" lift w/ 35" BFG ATs were installed, it immediatly dropped to 15mpg.
So... I have heard you guys talk about getting more like 19mpg and hoping a re-flash might help?
BTW - I am having the muffler removed tomorrow and having it replaced w/ a straight pipe... hoping that might give me 1-2 more mpg. Maybe a soft/cheap tonnue (sp?) cover might help too?
The F250SD stock has the aerodynamics of a beveled brick. Putting a 6" lift with 35 tires just added a drag chute. Have you calibrated your speedometer for the new 35s? I don't think Ford dealers will recalibrate it for tires that size. There are other variables associated with the tires that will have an effect on the mileage.

My MPG dropped with the 315's about 1-1.5 mpgs. I regained it by disconnecting the EGR and hope to improve that by installing the Predator this week. It still amazes me that the mpg's are around 16 for a truck that weighs more on the front axle as a Toy Tacoma 4 door weighs period. ( Something I noticed on my last dump run)
