I changed my PCM due to my stupidity buying a used programmer and wiping out my PCM, anyhow I had a spare PCM that came with an engine that I bought. My truck is an 03 F-250 and the other engine and PCM is an 04 F-350. My truck runs fine but my mileage went from 18 mostly hi-way to 15 mostly hi-way. I'm having a re-flash done tomorrow hoping my mileage comes back up and also to have my blank PCM re-flashed so that I can a spare again. Do you guys think this will help get my mileage back up. I drive the same roads everyday and I check my mileage after every fill-up.
Make sure he uses the latest flash, which is an updated inductive heating strategy that came out earlier this year. The previous inductive heating strategy was too had on the FICM power circuitry and was linked with high FICM failure rates.

I had my PCM re-programmed from scratch. My second one, the one that I erased with the SCT programmer can't be programmed. We tried every which way and it shows the same thing PCM failure, It showed blank but it won't accept any programs. Anyhow I got my other one on the truck programmed,But now I have bigger problems we discovered oil in the water while under the hood. My patience is growing thin.....
