Transmission Question
I have a 1979 ford F-150 4WD with a big block C-6 with a NP205 transfer case. My problem it that my tranny is shot. I have a small block 4 WD C-6 and a big block 2WD C-6 laying around. I need to know if the internal parts of the small block 4 WD C-6 will swap out or will the NP205 bolt up if i remove the tailshaft of the big block 2WD C-6. If this, or any other way will work, please let me know.

The internal parts will interchange. The 2 wd. trans wont swap in, the tail shaft would have to be changed. Also 4 wd C6 came in 2 different tail shaft lengths if you find a used one make sure you have the right length.
