Human Nature

Yet another question. Two of my local eating establishments (Outback and Don Pablo's) have three parking spaces by the front door for carry out orders. The lots can be packed but no one ever seems to 'cheat'.

On the other hand, every time a light turns red one, two, or three cars will plow through. I wonder what the reasoning is for that?

While I'm at it, why would these establishment reserve a spot for people who do not even care to come in and patronize the wait-staff, while those of us who are making a more sifnificant impact economically are inconvienenced (if only minor). The only answer I could come up with is profit. Sell them the food at the same price but don't consume the store's resources.

They want the healthy people to walk off the food they just ate ?

How about people in Wheelchairs?
How far would you want to propel yourself if your arms are weak ?

People are people and will do things that do not mkae sense.

Why do people so anything that is unhealty, because they can.

as for the spots, they are still getting the bussness without having to serve the people, clean their plates, provide them drinks or have them take up space in the establishment. They view this as a win-win fact.

Yea, for the business. When are businesses going to REALLY concern themselves with us customers?

When we do not go there anymore. Speak with your $$$$ and they will listen. It is also all of the rage now and will probally go away in about three years.

In a place like AZ in the summer people refuse to get out of their AC'ed cars for any reason and this allows them to go to the establishment without bearing the heat.

What chapps me about parking is that there is a mall that has valet parking and they use three sections right next to the movies. You have to walk about a 1/2 mile to get a spot, but I like 115 in the summer, call me strange.

You are discussing parking for people in a hurry..... Parking is automotive talk.

The green light thing is also automotive talk and is related to being in a hurry

there is no chance your car is going to get towed if you sneak through a red light..however if you park somewhere you shouldnt, you may return to an empty space

No chance to get towed sneaking through a red light? Wouldn't it depend on how hard you got hit if there was a crash.....?
