Couldn't have said it better myself. The old saying, "You drive for show and putt for dough $$"

I played 36 holes yesterday

but I tend to have a slice.
I'm assuming you are hitting the ball and it ends up going to the right? That's exactly the problem I had. A couple of solutions...

1. Turn the club face in an inch more than normal and hit the ball.
2. Don't swing back as far as you normally do. You can hit the ball half as hard and make it go just as far if you get the correct contact. Less swing = more accuracy.
3. When you get into your driving stance, move the ball forward about an inch or two, then hit it with a relaxed swing. Do this over and over and gradually move the ball back.
4. Practice, because practice is the only way to stay consistent.

Heres an interesting story,

One of the driving ranges here has a small lake you shoot into rather than a field...well last time I went with 2 of my friends to have a little fun. I never play golf, I'm ok at mini-golf but who isn't. So I borrowed a couple of my buddy's beater clubs (some wilsons from walmart), and swung away. I decided it was would have been a good idea to really wack one hard, but my hands disagreed and the club slipped out of my hand. Went about 50 feet and splash right into the lake....be a few years before I live that one down

A slice means you are coming slightly across the ball instead of directly behind it.
This is attributed to too much right hand/arm.

Swing with your left only until you develop you left arm fulcrum, then add the right arm.

Oh ya, Don't forget to stretch those muscles before hitting buckets of *****

Too late! I'm sore! I have blisters too. I probably shouldn't have gone two days in a row. Today, I just frustrated myself. I think I'll take lessons before I go again.

I have to say, after working on a golf course, I never liked golf when I started there, and three years later, quitting. I STILL DISLIKE GOLF GREATLY. What's the point of trying to hit a 2" (or so)white ball around a green field? But now, the tides have changed, they buy lots of fertilizer from me, and life is good. So, I have to say thanks to all golfers for paying excessively high greens fees and supporting me!!!!
