OK who's in the Game? I use to like B Ball, But Billy Martin is dead, The cub's never win, Big name players are all doped up,
and That Nasty Strike in 94 It's hard for me to watch.
Drank Beer 1 hr ago, It's not working!! Drinking More.
Didn't the NFL have a strike a few years ago?? Bet you still watch that. Of course, we all know those players aren't all doped up...
I don't know if I'll watch the allstar game or not. I never really got into it. You have your best pitcher in for an inning and then another oitcher for a few outs. Star players get an at bat and get replaced an inning later. Gotta get all the stars into the game, afterall! The fact that this game determines home field advantage for the series is ridiculous, too.
To answer the original post, yes, I will probably watch the game.
My comments on the other posts, the 94 strike did suck because the Expos probably would have won it all that year. As for the steriod issue, it would be a whole different story if leagues like the NHL, NFL, and even soccer had a whistleblower like Canseco
I find it hard to believe that even with steriod testing that with all the technology in medicine today that there isn't something better and not currently being tested for? Growth hormones perhaps?
I don't watch baseball. To slow and boring. I loved the game when I was a kid but as I got older I started to dislike it. I'm not saying that I am rating it up there with soccer but maybe someday it will be just as boring. Mini camps open in less than 3 weeks so MLB will be even less relevant.

yeah beaseball was dying in the 90's, sammy and mark saved it a little, but its back on the dying burner again.
its sad that the commish has let a 100 year old plus sport become fuuly tainted now.
when i was growing up in the eighties to me learning baseball was the best thing since sliced bread.
now younger kids get to see some of the biggest names in history tied to illegal drug use. and its getting really old as well.
not having the commish and aaron attend bonds games to see when he breaks the record, has gotta tell ya something.
and since im a sports fan in general ill give it a little watch, but baseball will never be the same again.
remember marks statement to congress when asked about his personal experience with any sort of enhancements even though he admitted to using ANDRO, which wasnt banned at the time, he says "im not hear to talk about the past"
well his first ballot for the hall of fame has come and was not ellected, and hopefully he never will.
and i agree with the above statement mini camp is upon us, so yes b-ball in alot of eyes has become irrelevent
Baseball will never be irrelevent. And until there is proof that McGwire or anyone else did steroids, that issue is moot.

Now, I don't know about everyone else, but I don't feel it is absolutely necessary to have a 70+ year old man chase the Giants around the country just so Hammerin' Hank will be there when the record is broken. As far as the comissioner not being there, I could make the same excuse, even though he isn't quite 70. Still, chasing the team around just in case Bonds hits the record breaker seems a little unreasonable to me.
and the last nfl strike was in 1982
So you were mad at the NFL until 1995? Or does the 13 year rule only apply to baseball?
(sorry, forgot to add the smiley, 'cause I'm just yanking your chain. )
