Well, I finally got my FX4 in last night after a nice 12 WEEK WAIT!!! Anyway, I'm very happy with the new truck. No delay with the gas pedal, no shimmy on the highway, no clunk at acceleration............yet. I've put a little over 100 miles on it so far. You guys are right about one thing.......BREAK DUST!! WOW! Next week I'll start looking for a fiberglass tonneau (I'm thinking the Leer 700 Series), Ford bug deflector, and mud flaps. I have to go now so I can play with my new truck.

Looks good. I am wanting to get one but don't know which one to get.

 

Nice truck. Mine is a Black FX4 SC with black leather interior. I can't wait to break it in so I can tow my black boat. I guess I like black, either that or I like busting my A$$ cleaning my toys.

So, how much are those Kevlar brake pads some guys have been talking about? That dust is rediculous!

A couple minor complaints.....

1. Gas pedal is too light. Put a heavier spring back there! Did they make this truck for women? Maybe my fat foot is just too big.
2. Break Dust!
3. The exhaust sounds SISSY! I might have to go spring for Flowmasters because of it. I'm not into the obnoxious sound, but a little more than NOTHING would be nice!
4. There's not much storage in the cab. No place to put my garage door opener, no good CD storage system, nowhere to put cell phone accesories (charger, hands-free...Thank you NY), etc.

Those things are minor, and some fixable, so no big deal. Overall, I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!! It's so smooth on the hwy I swear my speedometer reads about 40 mph faster than I'm going. I wonder why everyone else is going so slow. The tranny shifts so smooth it's sick, and the steering is as tight as a race car. The Audiophile system sounds great, the leather is comfortable and nice looking, and the moonroof is awesome! (I have to thank my buddy Tom for talking me into that one). I can't reach the back window....should have sprung for the power slider. Oh well. I haven't filled the 36 gallon tank yet....Eeek. She's a beauty. Now I can't wait to see how she tow my boat. Just a few more miles......110 so far.

 

boomer that is a low profile bug shield and it had the high but the high poped the hood going down the road i guess it was to flemsy

 

519 i have glass packs on mine and i cant remember if there is one or two or no muffler because southern comfort put them on but i will look and tell you. It has a very deep sound and its the loudest when you first fire it up.

Man that is a nice looking truck. What rims and tires do you have on that thing, they look real nice, and I have been looking for something similar for my 04.

 

Go with the Leer 700...quality all the way...Chip
