10" Sub box for SCAB
10" Sub box for SCAB
Howdy,
I'm looking for a single 10" sub box to go under the rear seat of my '04 scab.
Anyone seen these online anywhere?
Need it between .5 and .75 cu. ft.
Or, if you have designed your own, I'd be interested in knowing the dimensions and how the bass sounds.
Anyone suggest downfiring, upfiring?
Thanks!

id go to a cusom stereo shop, they will sell u the sub and build it for u. easiest way to do it. or u can buy the sub and if ur any good at carpentry u can do.. use oak with insulation. good luck, ripman
i got a box from subbox.net the holds 2 12 inch subs and fits under my rear seat without a seat lift kit. it sounds great and they have boxes for the 2004 f150 that go under the back seat. i would say check out that site.

They make boxes specifically for our truck. I think you will be pleased!

I built my own. Mountainman I`ve never heard of using Oak?? Everyone I know uses 3/4" MDF particle board. If building your own, there are many sites with free plans. Never saw one that recommends oak.
Also , for my pioneer ten inch subs , 1 cubic foot is recommended for proper woofer function.
If you`re not sure ieee_raider I would go to a stereo shop.I agree with highstrung you will be pleased.
Good luck

I built speaker boxes for my brother. I used 3/4" partical board. I cut the peices, screwed them together and used some liquid nailes to seal up the seams. You can also use wood caulk or wood filler, al long as its air tight. Then I got some black fabric, almost like carpet, and covered it. It looked nice. Make sure you seal the seams. I built it the first time without using the caulk to seal it up and it sounded terrible...... Other than that, its really simple. You dont even need plans.
